Description
The feast of Dormition of Virgin Mary is a Great Feast which commemorates the "falling asleep" or death of virgin and her bodily resurrection before being taken up into heaven.
Each year on 28th of August, hundreds of people walk from Beit Jala city to Virgin Mary Church in Jerusalem early in the morning to celebrate the orthodox feast of Dormition of Virgin Mary.
