Beit Jala International Festival For Peace

Everyone's dream is to live freely and peacefully in his country within a calm and peaceful environment. For this reason "Beit Jala International Festival for Peace" will be held under the patronage of His Excellency President Mahmoud Abbas adopting the slogan "Towards a just peace and a hopeful future". Different groups with different cultures will participate in this festival in addition to the local and international mayors and personalities.

This festival will last for two days; it will include different cultural activities as well as the handicrafts exhibition, photo exhibition and the farmers market, there will be also touristic activities and different visits to ancient and cultural sites.

Festival Objectives:

1- To call for a solidarity with the Palestinian people in order to get their legal rights to live with dignity and freedom in an independent country.
2- To enhance the economical situation of the citizens by promoting their sustainability during this difficult economical situation.
3- To foster the dialogue and exchange of cultures and civilizations.
4- To revive the tourism sector by introducing the touristic sites in Beit Jala City and the whole district.

To the weekly mass of Cremisan followed by a Press Conference
In support and solidarity with the Cremisan Valley

The citizens of Beit Jala and the Beit Jala Municipality in Cooperation with the Society of St. Yves, the Applied Research Institute- Jerusalem (Arij) and Kairos Palestine are honored to invite you to show support and solidarity with the people of Cremisan who are fighting against the Israeli administration’s decision to annex the lands of Cremisan valley by building the separation wall on privately owned Palestinian land.

This invitation comes a few days before the final court hearing for the Cremisan Case in the Special Appeals Committee against the Wall.

Therefore, we invite you to attend the weekly mass that takes place on the lands of the Cremisan Valley on Friday 8th of February 2013 at 3:30 pm.

The mass will be followed by a press conference.

Save the Valley in Cremisan

Please sign our petition to save the valley in Cremisan from being destroyed by the separation wall.

The upcoming final court hearing for the case will be held on the 12th of February and calls for urgent action.
